So here I would like to track any progress I make with film photography. I found a bunch of rolls of 35mm that I sent off to get developed, and lo! I got like 3 shots back that I thought looked cool. (Of the 5 rolls, 2 were completely blank and the other 3 only had perhaps a dozen legible frames between them. Definite room for improvement.)

These shots were from a “ripstop” Lomography plastic camera that was supposed to take 4 frames in quick succession. Your mileage might vary…

In any case - I’ve obtained a lovely little “half frame” camera from Konica. I’m excited to see what new adventures I can immortalize on celluloid. At the rist of sounding like a “cool kid,” I’m really bummed that film photography is becoming more niche and less accessible. After getting my little camera, I instinctively wanted to go down to the local photography shop to grab some film, shoot the breeze, and get hyped on a new little hobby. Instead I find out that Reno’s only wet film lab and analog photo shop closed about 2 years ago. So now I’m buying shit online again. Sort of a bummer man.
